Horsemanship Program Horses
Each horse participating in this program comes with their own unique story. Read more about them below.
Mike
20yr old 15.1hh Chestnut QHx
Mike came to Canton Equestrian Center in 2021. We didn’t know much of his history before CEC but students enjoyed a few wonderful years riding Mike and would describe him as a patient, kind and understanding horse who always tried his best for his rider. He is now retired from our riding program and entering a slower time period in his life. He enjoys engaging with people and loves having a job.
Rocky
20yr old 14.3hh Black Grade Pony
Rocky had many successful years showing as a children’s eventing pony. Rocky can be shy at first but he has no shortage of personality once you win his trust. He is a goofy and kind horse that loves kisses almost as much as he loves treats. He is now retired from our riding program and entering a slower time period in his life. He loves being doted on.
Yukon
25yr old 16.2hh Clydesdale Cross
Yukon spent most of his career foxhunting prior to coming to CEC. He has a giant fan club and his personality is unlike any other. Yukon’s favorite day is one that he can spend grazing, walking and getting a good scratch. He has opinions about how he would like things done and we all cater to him because of how lovable he is. He is now semi-retired from our riding program and entering a slower time period in his life.
